In traditional emptying, the organisms responsible for biological activity accompany the sludge to the disposal site, and the activity ceases in the three-chamber tank. When using the MazkoZoll technology, the living organisms are returned to the three-chamber tank via the reject water.<\/p>\n
But it’s not just benefits for the owner of the tank. Transporting water is expensive, and water itself has become a cost for many today. Draining directly at the triple-chamber well and refilling with the well’s own water saves both weight and volume while providing numerous environmental benefits. A typical sludge unit has a capacity of 4\u20135 triple-chamber wells per disposal session. Rolba Masko Zoll Dewatering units, the capacity increases to approximately 35 wells before disposal is necessary. So, transportation costs can be significantly reduced compared to conventional sludge suction.<\/p>\n

The tank is emptied in the same way as during a regular sludge emptying, and the sludge ends up in the front sludge compartment (dewatering compartment). At the same time as suction, water mixed with polymer is dosed. This causes the sludge to coagulate into a firmer form in the dewatering compartment.<\/p>\n
From the dewatering compartment, the sludge is pumped further to the MaskoZoll unit where the sludge is then separated from the water. The sludge reaches 15\u201320% dry matter content through this process and transfers from the unit to the vehicle’s transport compartment (rear sludge compartment).<\/p>\n
The reject water returns back into the well. This provides a capacity to empty approximately 35 tanks before disposal. The time required per tank varies depending on the amount of sludge in the tank.<\/p>\n
